TOPIC:                                  THE TONGUE FOR PRAYING, PRAISING, & PREACHING

TEXT:                                    1 Tim. 2:1-4; Psalm. 2: 8 – 9
MEMORY VERSE:                         Acts 16:25

“And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed,la nd sand praises unto God:and the prisoners heard them.”
We welcome everyone to our Tuesday Bible Study session. This study is still part of the series on the tongue.

Today, we are dealing on the positive use of the tongue, to preach, to praise God and to pray.

1.       SOULS IN PRISON OF SATAN: Isaiah. 14:12,16-17; 2 Cor. 4:3-4; Luke 11: 21-22; Gal. 1:3-4; 1 John 5:19; Gal. 1:3 - 4

The present World System is under the evil one, that is, Satan, who controls all sinners in his prisons. They are his goods. He has blinded them with ideologies and deception of every type. This is reason why the World is in darkness, not willing to do what is good in the sight of God. To save them, or release them from the prison of Satan, we have to go into battle using two powerful offensive weapons. One is preaching, the other is prayer.

2.       SAINTS PREACHING THE GOSPEL OF SALVATION:  2 Cor. 4: 5-6; Rom. 1:14-16; Luke. 24:47; 1Cor. 1:17-24

The saints are to preach the Gospel of Jesus and not themselves or a preacher or a Church denomination. We are to preach that only Jesus can save. We are to preach that all have sinned and that we cannot save ourselves. We are to preach Repentance from Sin and Faith in Christ Jesus. We are to assure them of the bloodshed at Calvary which cleanses from all sins. But preaching alone may not produce the desired results unless we pray and violently attack the devil and his dark Kingdom.

3.       SUPPLICATION WITH THANKSGIVING FOR POSSESSION OF SOUL:
          Psalm 2: 29; 1Tim. 2:1-4; Phil. 4:6; Ps. 149:5-9
It is said that if you cannot pray well, you cannot preach well. If our preaching is going to produce fruits, we must go into aggressive prayers and giving of thanks. In our prayers we must ask God to give us the Souls. We must also force the devil’s prison door to open after binding the strong man and release the souls. This is what is called spiritual warfare for souls. In spiritual warfare, praise and worship play key roles. If God must take over our battles, we must give His due, praise and worship. Ps. 96:7-9
